Impressive Growth, Year After Year
SMS Group has an impressive growth history. As we have grown, so has our dedication to the industry.
Our History
In 1964, Tom Flowe and Associates was an up-and-coming independent rep agency. By 2002, a group of associates entered into an agreement to purchase the assets of Tom Flowe and Associates and changed the name to SMS Group, LLC. In 2016, one of the partners made a sole acquisition and purchased the SMS Group, LLC.
In 2025, Cassie Stopka and Chad Smith, two SMS Group Associates, purchased SMS Group, LLC and formed a new entity; Cornerstone Sales Agents DBA SMS Group. The new agency will continue to operate as SMS Group and the new owners are poised to honor the 61-year legacy while adding calculated growth and profit for their manufacturers.
A Proud Legacy
Sadly, in 2025, the founder of Tom Flowe and Associates passed away. Mr. Flowe was a man of vision and great faith. He had charisma and a gift for negotiating. The years of success that SMS Group has had, is because it was built on a foundation of excellence. The SMS Group, its owners and associates, past and present, owe our careers to Mr. Flowe. We will carry on and represent this agency everyday with the high standards listed in our Core Values.
